As a leader it can be difficult to manage expectations of fairness and consistency, and overall: What people think. By understanding how your team members determine if actions you take or decisions you make are fair, you can be best positioned to manage the perceptions of others.

Each person is different in the way he or she becomes and sustains being motivated. Being good at motivating your team includes believing it is a manager’s job to motivate – that all people are different and that motivating each of them can take a little bit different approach.

Time requirement: Approx 1/2 hour

Leaders at all levels and positions in organizations face challenges. Challenges are typically defined as situations that test a leader’s abilities based upon what he or she has been exposed to through school, work and family life. And, challenges viewed for their benefit are more successfully managed than those viewed as an obstacle.

Time requirement: Approx. 15 minutes
